Who Wrote this Song?
¿Quien es la Compositora de esta Canciòn?

I am totally blown away!

¡Estoy bien sorprendida!

I mean, my former songwriting teacher, Shane Adams at BerkleeMusic.com, put one, and ONLY one song on his profile page. What song did he chose? One of his own brilliant compositions?

No. Shane chose a song written by one of his students. And you guessed it. It was a song I wrote - Forest Dance.

Ya has adivinado. Fue una canciòn mia - Forest Dance (Baile del Bosque).

Originally it was for panpipes. Shane arranged it and performed it on piano.

His piano playing is so beautiful! You can listen to Forest Dance on Shane's page.
Then, please post your thoughts and comments in the forum!

Lynette

(Update - Shane just posted 4 more songs from an album he arranged and produced)

Sensei in Puno, Peru, December 18, 2009
Sensei en Puno, Peru, 18 de diciembre, 2009

With great emotion I present you the good news that the Youth Orchestra of Puno will perform the song, "Sensei," in concert at the Municipal Theatre in Puno, Peru, December 18, 2009. Jose Calisaya, a friend of SGI-Peru and professor at the ESFA (Superior School of Artistic Formation), has included this Gakkai song for the community to enjoy. The arrangement is by Daniel Brownfield, director of the American Victory Orchestra of SGI-USA.

Jose Calisaya is one of the indigenous guys with whom I have played panpipes. Here we are playing with Huj Maya in the stadium in Puno, Peru.

Jose and his family continue to be active in their local Catholic parish and have started practicing buddhism with the SGI.
